So...do you have any idea how royally SCREWED every caster class would be if not for the insane amount of melee hate in the game? The hexes are necessary; without them, a/mo w/mo d/mo and r/mo all with mending touch would all be nigh unstoppable.

To actually deal with the situation, you swing, heal, swing, heal, etc, slowly building up adrenaline - and remember, if one guy's focused on taking you down, it's a 3 on 3 among the other teammates. When your adrenaline spike chain is built up, you purge, frenzy, unleash it. He'll be dead before he can react to get more than 1 hex on you, if that.

After some success with a Elementalist, I decided to bite the bullet and join the opposition. I did a Necromancer.

My build isn't perfect and I am still getting the hang of it, but every time I lost, I knew I actually had a chance or could been better with a different build.

On a sense, melee plays hoping for a enemy mistake... maybe he will overextend... maybe he doesn't have blocking... maybe I will not be blinded/crippled... maybe the Monk is busy somewhere else...

The difference between both is casters do what they want, melee do what they can.

Anti melee hexes are ment to be annoying to melee characters...just like interupts and anti spellcaster hexes are annoying to spell casters.

really do tell? wuts ur counter to blinding? condition removal?

ehh gads wutever can counter anti melee hexes?!?!?.........
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Hex_removal

wow theres only 26 different hex removal skills in game.

if u play in a serious team without hex removal, ur going to fail. if anything, anti melee hexes needa be buffed. the curses line is pretty useless atm. rush reckless lasts too lil. price triggers to rarely. insidious doesn't do enough.

get better monks if they cant remove hexes imo.

to the OP:

Pay attention. When you see a Me/N or N/Me, consider yourself warned. No hex removal on your team? That's too bad. Make sure you remedy that next time around. (Unless you're in RA, in which case it's a roll of the dice anyways)

A Warrior is used because it hits hard - it pressures hard, it spikes hard, it also disrupts well.

This is also precisely the reason why there is so much melee hate in Random Arenas - melee are one of the most effective ways to "skirmish", so to say, and to directly counter such an option will almost always lead to you being useful.
Stop whining about RA imo. If you don't like it being random, play something else.

by the way, i play AoD sin daily, and i'm just smart enough to stay out of necro range, start the spike (which is not insta gib) after the hexers are already pressured, [b]KD[/] them, and guess what. they die, i took no damage, cause AoD is GODLY.
